One Leg Dance!

Work time has ended and we were just waiting for the carpool. To pass the time, Frei took out his violin and started playing “One Leg Song”.

Pretty soon everybody was dancing on one leg! ^_^

Play for Sister, Please

Ave was glad she was able to steal away Frei’s violin from House Zia, as it is one of Frei’s few treasured possessions. Frei in return plays for her sister whenever he can.

To Hold and Be Held

These are quite interesting shots for me, in that Blake’s unpainted face gives an undertone of non-character; in that none of this really happens, and it is all in Frei’s head.

Or, you know, it could all be just an excuse to spam a floating head, LOL!

Barefoot

Blake had no shoes to wear, so Frei decided to leave his own pair home. ^_^

Though if you ask me, Blake has better things to worry about than shoes. His own body, for example. :P

Huh. #Frei’s clothes still fit on the #sd17 body. If the #AprilStory body is pretty much the same as this, then #sdBlake will just keep borrowing clothes from #sdFrei ~_~” #BJD #dollstagram

sols-crew asked: I just wanted to poke my head in here and say I'm totally in awe of your posing abilities, especially the things you can do with older Frei. There is no way my type 3 Delf body will do stuff like that! Is there a secret to it?

Thank you for appreciating my posts. ♥♥♥

The Delf Type 3 & 4 body is indeed of tricky engineering. When posing sdFrei I consider the following things: 1.) The waist joint is useless, but not completely. It will not allow the body to crouch or whatnot, but those small pelvic shifts are a great help in balancing standing poses; 2.) Master those pseudo-double joints. They’re not as easy to use as peanut-joints, but take advantage of them when you can. They will help you do partial bends, which can make for a better-looking pose; and 3.) The legs are HEAVY. That means no high kicks and silly walks. But they are great counterbalances to the torso when used properly.

And then there’s my general posing mantra: Find your center. Any pose can be held indefinitely as long as you catch that sweet sweet center of gravity for your doll. Always ensure the stability of the load-bearing leg (you’ll quickly learn early on which doll’s leg is the stable one), and keep anything above that equally distributed. And also, FLATTEN THE FEET! Most of the time, a pose won’t hold just because the feet is not firmly level with the floor. Whenever you feel that the pose is properly balanced, ensure that the load-bearing foot is flattened.

Woops, guess I got carried away with that one. ~_~”

Thank you again for your kind words, and hope you get more posing fun out of your Delf Type 3 body! ♥

One Head Taller

On this borrowed body, sdBlake stands 65cm tall. His incoming body will make him 67cm, a full one head taller than sdFrei’s 60cm. ^_^
